Version 1.10 of the SmartVS Simulator has been released. This new version includes new patients and an expansion to the AEP Generation Model, including some late potential components for some patients. To update your SmartVS installation, please complete the following steps:
- From the SmartVS launcher, click on [Help > Updates]. This will close the SmartVS windows and open the software update utility.
- In the Update Name field, make sure ‘SmartVS110.DAT’ is entered (without the quotation marks).
- Click on the [Start Software Update] button at the bottom-left of the window. If you have previously updated SmartVS you will see a confirmation message that indicates when the program was last updated. Click [Yes] to continue with the update.
- Let the updater finish the download, then click on [Exit and Return to Application].
Changes
- Six new practice patients of various ages including an infant. Two of them with normal hearing and four with sensorineural hearing loss.
- Three new test patients
- The AEP Generation Model has been expanded to include different responses for each ear. The model now also includes response components for PAM, MLR and LLR.
- The following patients have had their models modified to include the new response components: Mike Jones, Jane Smith, Aanya Tran. More adjustments to other patients are coming soon.
- Noise characteristics have been improved to provide for a more realistic experience.
- Practice patients now show the stimulation indicators in the test room, showing the stimulus delivery presented and the sensation level for each ear.
