Version 1.09 of the SmartVS Simulator has been released. This new version includes new features, including a stimulus visualizer. For a full list of changes, see the information below, or click here to download a pdf which includes update instructions.
To update your SmartVS installation, please complete the following steps:
- From the SmartVS launcher, click on [Help > Updates]. This will close the SmartVS windows and open the software update utility.
- In the Update Name field, make sure ‘SmartVS109.DAT’ is entered (without the quotation marks).
- Click on the [Start Software Update] button at the bottom-left of the window. If you have previously updated SmartVS you will see a confirmation message that indicates when the program was last updated. Click [Yes] to continue with the update.
- Let the updater finish the download, then click on [Exit and Return to Application].
Changes
- The StimGen application can be accessed from the SmartVS Launchpad control panel without the need of a password. The StimGen application includes easy-to-access wave parameters that will allow users to add and edit component characteristics to learn how signal harmonics come together to generate more complex signals such as triangular waveforms.
- The Audiometer module toolbar now includes a Feedback button for Practice Patients, so students can see how well their audiogram matches the patient’s true programmed audiogram.
- The Word Recognition Score (WRS) now incorporates a correct response probability based on the testing intensity
- From the Test Room, students can practice giving oral instructions to patients. They can record and play back the instructions for feedback from their instructors.
