A web licenses is required for installations in Virtual Machines, or when using emulators such as PlayOnMac, requires internet connection for activation and validation.
The standard license is only available for U.S. based customers, and provides with a physical USB dongle so the software can be run without an internet connection.
The renewal option may be used for either version, and requires entering the current license information.
